GreenTECH Fuel has released its next-generation blending kit, enabling transport companies, miners, and other diesel users to accurately blend EPC+ from TotalEnergies with standard diesel, reducing diesel consumption, costs, and emissions.
The GTFE02 blending kit was developed with the Australian business, De. Mem-Capic supersedes the US equipment used previously, offering a range of new features, including:
Consistently accurate dosing in all environments.
Fuel consumption monitoring wirelessly.
Dosing level monitoring wirelessly.
Performance monitoring sent to a dashboard.
According to GreenTECH Managing Director Steve Wilkinson, the new blending kit will enable most mining and transport businesses in Australia to blend EPC+ with standard diesel in a way that will drive savings while monitoring those savings remotely.
‘’This is great technology in that it is economical to purchase, is very accurate and provides the data customers need to monitor the savings delivered by EPC+ when blended with standard diesel,’’ Mr Wilkinson said.
‘’It is great to offer customer EPC+, the only product of its type made by a major energy business, and a state-of-the-art delivery system that is made in Australia and may soon be exported around the planet’’.
‘’EPC+ is an active ingredient in Excellium-Diesel sold around the world in bulk and through 17,000 service stations. The only difference between standard diesel blended with EPC+ in Europe and Australia is that in Australia, it is blended onsite – saving the purchaser even more than might otherwise be the case.” Mr Wilkinson said.
While Excellium® Diesel is unavailable in Australia, GreenTECH Fuel imports EPC+ and works with customers to blend it with the standard diesel to drive down fuel consumption, cost and emissions. EPC+ is not an after-market product but rather an ingredient of the high-performing Excellium® Diesel sold elsewhere in the world. GreenTECH FUEL provides customers with access to Excellium grade premium diesel without needing to change fuel suppliers or pay the premium price associated with a fully imported premium diesel.
The benefits delivered by these components include:
Increases diesel cetane by about +2/+3pt, improving combustion.
Reduces engine wear.
Protects the fuel installations from corrosion.
Increases oxidation stability, which is a benefit for biodiesels
Improves fuel durability.
Reduces supply chain variability.
Provides an audit trail by way of a lab marker.
This, in turn, delivers:
2% to 5% reduction in diesel consumption.
2% to 5% reduction in carbon emissions.
20% and 60% reduction in diesel particulate matter.
97% reduction in fuel injector fouling.
30% and 60% increase in fuel injector life.
4% and 10% reduction in AdBlue costs.
