Products
Responding to the relentless drive to reduce fuel costs and emissions while enhancing performance, the world’s fifth-largest energy business, TotalEnergies, blends standard diesel with EPC+ to create Excellium® Diesel, the next-generation premium diesel that reduces consumption, costs and carbon emissions by between 2% and 5%.
Excellium® Diesel, on the market since 2005, is available in bulk and through more than 17,000 service stations worldwide. It is purchased by some 8 million customers every day and used on every brand of equipment and in every environment known to man. It meets all international specifications for which OEM engines are approved (EN 590, ISO 8217, etc.) and meets all performance requirements of the Worldwide Fuel Charter.
Commercially available worldwide, Excellium grade diesel is used in just about every vehicle brand, ensuring the product's performance and benefits.

While Excellium® Diesel is unavailable in Australia, GreenTECH Fuel imports EPC+ and works with customers to blend it with the standard diesel to drive down fuel consumption, cost and emissions. EPC+ is not an after-market product but rather an ingredient of the high-performing Excellium® Diesel sold elsewhere in the world. GreenTECH FUEL provides customers with access to Excellium grade premium diesel without needing to change fuel suppliers or pay the premium price associated with a fully imported premium diesel.
For customers, the only differences between Excellium® Diesel and EPC+ blended with their standard diesel are the location of blending and the savings this delivers.
The seven components of EPC+ facilitate deposit control, cetane improvement, friction modifiers, corrosion inhibitors, antioxidants, a demulsifier, and foaming reduction.
The benefits delivered by these components include:
-
Increases diesel cetane by about +2/+3pt, improving combustion.
-
Reduces engine wear.
-
Protects the fuel installations from corrosion.
-
Increases oxidation stability, is a benefit for biodiesels
-
Improves fuel durability.
-
Reduces supply chain variability.
-
Provides an audit trail by way of a lab marker.
This in turn delivers:
-
2% to 5% reduction in diesel consumption.
-
2% to 5% reduction in carbon emissions.
-
20% and 60% reduction in diesel particulate matter.
-
97% reduction in fuel injector fouling.
-
30% and 60% increase in fuel injector life.
-
4% and 10% reduction in AdBlue costs.
Those with a vested interest in Excellium Grade Premium Diesel include:
-
Chief Financial Officers chasing cost savings.
-
Chief Sustainability Officers chasing emissions reductions.
-
Decarbonisation Officers looking to achieve emissions reduction targets.
-
Work Health and Safety Officers chasing reductions in NOx and particulate matter.
Free of fossil fuels, ‘hydrotreated vegetable oil’ diesel is a ‘renewable diesel produced using sustainably sourced vegetable and animal matter. Its production does not negatively impact the environment. HVO100 is a high-quality fuel with a chemical structure almost identical to regular mineral diesel. It can, therefore, fully replace fossil diesel.
HVO100 Renewable Diesel complies with the EN15940 specification and the new Australian “Fuel Quality standards (Paraffinic Diesel) Determination 2025” (Mineral diesel 820 – 850Kg/m3 HVO 765-800Kg/m3). It works seamlessly on all modern diesel engines and has been approved by leading engine manufacturers of most heavy vehicles.
HVO100 can be used immediately without modification of engines or infrastructure. It has better combustion, filterability, and cold temperature resistance than other diesel products. Many engineers view HVO100 as the best and easiest paraffinic option to help immediately reduce your carbon emissions.HVO100:
-
Replaces standard diesel fuel with no changes to the vehicle.
-
Replaces standard diesel fuel with no changes to maintenance requirements.
-
Delivers superior cold start operability and storage stability.
-
Delivers a reduction of up to 90% in well-to-wheel CO2 emissions.
-
Delivers a healthy 4% - 5% reduction in tailpipe CO2 emissions.
-
Reduces local pollution emissions, including diesel particulates like NOx.
