Maximising environmental returns involves more than technology

It might seem odd for a business, like GreenTECH Fuel, which distributes the only diesel additive produced by a major energy business, to suggest that additives are not enough to maximise returns and the impact on environmental performance. Certainly, EPC+ from TotalEnergies will reduce fuel costs and emissions simultaneously - but there is more to maximising returns from the investment in EPC+.

Australian businesses blending EPC+ with standard diesel have achieved reductions in fuel consumption, costs, and emissions of between 4.1% and 4.2%. These results have highlighted the direct financial and environmental benefits of EPC+. Research to be published very soon by GreenTECH Fuel suggests that while the emissions savings may be higher than the fuel savings, the effective CO2E reduction may be significantly higher.

Building on the benefits of EPC+, to maximise the return on investment in the additive, GreenTECH Fuel and its partner Empire Carbon and Energy are working with customers to identify strategies that address individual customer needs, including leveraging the potential of Australian Carbon Credits. According to GreenTECH Managing Director, Steve Wilkinson, customers can achieve ‘extraordinary’ results when applying the methodical process used by GreenTECH and Empire.

According to Mr Wilkinson, ‘To maximise the return on investment in fuel additives, it is essential to ensure customers have the additive when they need it, a strategy that works for them and an approach to measurement and reporting that minimises the workload and maximises the return.’
